DESCRIPTION:\nJoin us on Sept. 22 to hear Don Strehle, managing director of Sterling Capital Management, provide a market and economic update. Given the current market turmoil and uncertainties, his perspective will shed some light on the market today.\n \nIn 2013, Don was named managing director of the Washington, DC office of Sterling Capital Management, an SEC registered investment advisory company with more than $47 billion in assets under management.  The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Branch Banking and Trust Company (BB&T).  For more than 8 years, Don was Regional President for BB&T in the Northern Virginia area.  He was administratively responsible for the management of more than 575 employees, 80 offices, $6 billion in deposits and 140,000 client households.  Prior to BB&T, Don was Executive Vice President for F&M Bank-Northern Virginia.  He initially began his banking career in 1979 with Continental Federal Savings Bank where he rose to Senior Vice President in charge of commercial lending.\n \nMr. Strehle was raised in Newport News, Va., and attended Radford University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.  He then moved to Arlington, Va., where he began his banking career and attended the Commercial Lending School, University of Virginia Darden School of Business Administration.  Don and his wife Mary continue to reside in Arlington and have three daughters.  \n
