DTSTAMP:20260510T170558Z
DESCRIPTION:\nThe mineral rights industry is presently witnessing a significant transformation, marked by escalating demand and surging prices for mineral rights. This dynamic shift implies that the long-standing principle of refraining from selling one's mineral rights might require reconsideration in light of contemporary circumstances. However, it is imperative to note that decisions should be predicated on individual situations.\n \nFurthermore, the advent and subsequent proliferation of renewable energy production, such as solar power, have underscored the importance of land rights. The increasing focus on harnessing renewable sources of energy has brought land rights to the forefront of discussions, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of their implications. Given the inherent dominance of mineral rights and their consequential impact on surface use, it is critical to thoroughly comprehend these aspects to effectively negotiate with solar companies. The interplay between mineral rights and surface use can significantly influence the terms of agreement with these companies, thereby necessitating a careful evaluation of these factors.\n \nThe evolving landscape of the mineral rights industry presents both challenges and opportunities. Please join Bessemer Trust’s Head of Mineral and Energy Resource Management, Dave Parker, for a Q&A style discussion about how to navigate this industry and achieve optimal returns.\n \nThis presentation has been approved for 1.0 CFP credit.\n \n \n \nDavid J. Parker is Principal and Head of Mineral and Energy Resource Management at Bessemer Trust. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the integrated management, accounting, and advisory services that Bessemer provides for clients' oil, gas, and renewable energy resource holdings.\n \nPrior to joining Bessemer, David was Senior Vice President and Manager of the Houston office of The Northern Trust Company's Oil, Gas, and Minerals Management department.  Before that, he worked at J.P.
