Which Committee is Right for You?
Create engaging and informative educational sessions for our members and guests. The Council has four (4) educational luncheons and two (2) educational webinars per year.
The committee is responsible for setting educational objectives for the year, determining trending topics, and securing the speaker for each program. Follow-up with speakers is handled by NVEPC staff.
Develop & implement a membership marketing & retention plan, along with staff. Promote membership in the Council. Engage and retain current members. Greet visitors and new members when they arrive, answer their questions, and introduce them to other NVEPC members.
Market & secure new sponsors for the educational programs and networking events for the Council. Develop relationships with sponsors to ensure their complete satisfaction, obtain feedback and promote continued sponsorships. Staff handles administrative work after sponsors are secured.
Develop & monitor good governance practices. Serve on the nominating committee to recommend potential new board members. Develop succession plans for officers and committee chairs.
Do You Have the Time?
It’s less work than you might expect. Committees meet by phone, either monthly or quarterly. The work typically takes only 1-2 hours a month. For additional details, speak with the co-chairs of the committee that interests you or contact the NVEPC office.
